What we've been up to lately

Trying on Mommy's lipstick

Finding new uses for a splatter screen

Checking out a firetruck at a YMCA event

Checking out a police car (hopefully the only time she's in one, barring a ride-along or job as a police officer)

Contemplating the hard hat in the treecutter's truck

Becoming mesmerized by an awesome magician

Going on a wheelbbarrow ride with Daddy

Playing in the sandbox

Getting the sand out of her shoes

Getting perturbed that her banana "broke"

Eating corn on the cob

Another post of randomness

S's Oriental Lily Dress is done:

S modeled it for me.

It's still on the big side, but if she can't wear it until fall, that will be OK too.

She found a new place to nap today

Yes, that's her toybox. And she's only pretending to nap.

"Wake up time!"

I put up new shelving, in part to display all the pandas.

And the cool stuff from my Nana and S's Nana

Christmas in April

My poinsettia is blooming!

My 10+ year old poinsettia. It's never bloomed since I got it for Christmas in 2000

Surprise!

And my seeds are sprouting

Good day sunshine

It was another amazingly warm day this year in New England, and we took full advantage of it. S was outside most of the day. Mommy, the whitest of the white girls, already has a sunburn ::sigh:: We started with a morning run to our favorite tot lot. Mommy met some other great mommies and S ran. And ran. And ran. One of the moms recommended a local ice cream shop, so we hit that on the way home. Little Miss slept for a good couple of hours, even after napping in the car.

In the afternoon, we stayed in the yar. Which meant the sandbox. And the ball. And the tricycle.

Love the windblown look

At some point, S ditched the shoes

Ball time!

This is her typical pose during ball time. She yells "watch!" and sits down to watch someone else do all the work

Just playing in the grass...

The ball. Again

Getting ready to watch. Again

This is what happens when you tell her to say cheese

More randomness

I just uploaded pictures from the tail end of Nana and Tapa's trip. Enjoy!

S thinks it's hysterical to put her basketball hoop on people's heads. Fortunately Tapa will do anything for his grandkids, including looking silly

Nana, chillin' by the sandbox

One of my new favorite pictures

Go ahead and run, kid. That way you'll nap longer

Wow, I didn't do an Easter post

We've been busy. Nana and Tapa hung out with S a lot, treating me to some downtime :)

S trying on her new button tunic. She looked at it and said, "Buttons!"

Easter goodies galore

Ready for Mass. I look like death. Now I know why Mom always tells me to wear lipstick

"C'mon, let's go hunt Easter eggs!"

"Let's go!"

Tapa tries to keep up

Searching in the sandbox

Found one!

And another!

Stickers!

We also celebrated a belated birthday for S and Tapa. This came from 3AM Cakes. Another advantage to joining a moms group--you're bound to find some talented people!

Singing Happy Birthday

Oh yeah, this was a trifecta. Bunny cake (note Elmo's ears), Elmo cake for S, and carrot cake for all! It was SO good!

Randomness

There's no clear theme to these pictures. Except to say that Nana and Tapa are visiting and we're super duper busy.

S has rediscovered the sandbox in the yard. It will be 50 degrees and breezy, and her nose will be bright red from the cold, and she'll still be hysterical that we're making her leave the thing. She found a willing buddy with Tapa. Which is great, because it allowed me to stay warm inside :)

Her diapers have become somewhat of an obsession. So we put one on her baby doll. After she yelled for a "mat" so she could change her on a proper changing pad.

That one was definitely too big. So we switched to a prefold. Still hefty, but hey, it works.

Reading with Tapa. Nuff said

My latest finished project. Pattern and yarn courtesy of my brother. It's a pocket tunic for all of S's treasures. I can't wait for her to wear it.
